Introduced in version 3.46, a single timesheet entry can now include multiple shift allocations for the same day.
This is useful when a person performs different types of work within one duty period.

FAQs
How to enable multiple shift codes
- Go to Site Setup > Timesheet Setup.
-
Click Enable Multiple Shift Codes Per Timesheet Entry.
There is no "save" button - the selection is saved automatically.
How to add multiple shift codes to a timesheet entry
- Go to your Timesheets.
(Or, if you are meant to manage other users' Timesheets, open that user's Timesheets page.)
- Select the timesheet entry you want to update by clicking on the pencil icon.
- In the shift code field, select more than one shift code from the multi-select dropdown.
- Enter the main duty time(s) for the timesheet entry as per standard practice.
- Select Allocations to expand the allocation details.
This only shows when more than one Shift Type is selected.
The view should change:
- Enter or update the allocation times for each shift code.
The shifts can be moved left or right by using the arrows near the shift names.
Related: How shift code priority works
- Fill in the other Timesheet details visible on the page.
- Save the timesheet entry by clicking on the "OK" button at the bottom.
How shift code priority works
When multiple shift codes are added to one timesheet entry, only one shift code is displayed in Rostering.
The shift code shown in Rostering is based on the order of the shift codes in the Allocations section. The first shift code in the allocation order is the one displayed in the roster - this shift gets prioritised.
To change which shift code appears in Rostering:
- Open the relevant Timesheet entry.
- Select Allocations.
- Using the arrows near the shift names, move the shift code you want to display in Rostering to the first (left) position.
- Save ("OK") the Timesheet entry.
- Refresh Rostering to check the displayed shift code (in Hybrid or Actual view mode).
The Timesheet entry still keeps all selected shift codes. This only affects which shift code is shown in the Roster.
Main duty fields and allocation times
The main duty fields and the allocation fields do not behave in the same way.
The main duty time should still be entered for the overall duty period. If the main duty fields are left blank and only the individual shift allocation times are entered, the roster may show the entry as an all-day shift.
Roster-to-timesheet behaviour
When multiple shift codes are stacked in Rostering, and the roster is published, the shift codes will pass through to the person’s timesheet.
FAQs
Why can I only see one shift code in Rostering?
Although the timesheet entry can contain multiple shift codes, Rostering only displays one shift code. The shift code displayed is based on the order of the shift codes in Allocations.
Can Work Practices be chosen separately for each shift type?
Currently, only one Work Practice can be chosen per Timesheet day, and it isn't possible to allocate one separated per each shift type.
