Manual alerts are messages created within AirMaestro to communicate a piece of information directly to all or selected personnel.
Creating a Manual Alert
Go to Menu > Operations > Alerts Register.
Select Add Alert in the top-right corner.
Complete the Create Alert page.
Alert Details
Enter a Title for the alert.
Select a Priority (Critical, Caution, or Notice).
Choose a Category from the list available for your site.
If needed, the list can be amended in Alerts Setup.Enter a Description explaining the alert.
(Optional) Add URLs if you want to link to related documents or external information.
Avoid linking to internal AirMaestro navigation paths to prevent login-page loops.
Alert Options
Tick the Alert Options checkbox if you want to disable the Alert Notifications section.
Alert Notifications
Use the Assign To dropdown to select recipients:
Choose a Base, Department and/or specific personnel
Set an Expiry Date if the alert should end automatically.
Select any additional actions:
Send an email to unacknowledged personnel
Send SMS to unacknowledged personnel
Auto-acknowledge pending alert notifications
When complete, press Create Alert.
What happens after creating:
If notifications were enabled, a panel on the right will appear and begin sending the notifications in real time.
This panel confirms whether each email/SMS was successfully sent.
The Red Cross means neither email nor SMS was sent (usually due to missing information in a user's profile).
The Yellow Tick means only one of the notifications was sent (either SMS or email), and the other one is missing information.
The Green Tick means the notifications were sent successfully.
Alerts will then appear on the Login Alerts page when recipients sign in. They will also be available in each user’s Alerts window.

Setting Alert Categories
Alert Categories determine how alerts are grouped. The list shows during alert creation, but the options available can only be edited in the Alerts Setup.
Go to Site Setup > General > Alerts Setup.
Scroll down to the Alert Categories tree.
Right-click within the tree to:
Add a new category
Rename a category
Activate/Deactivate a category
